Finding a Pinellas private school for a child with a disability

111 Pinellas private schools can be paid from a Unique Abilities (FES-UA) account. Here is how to narrow that list to a school that actually fits your child.

Last verified: October 2026

Which Pinellas private schools accept FES-UA?

111 of the 145 schools registered with the Pinellas district are FES-UA participants in the state file pulled October 28, 2026.

Our FES-UA page lists them by community.

Does the state record say which disabilities a school serves?

Not in the Pinellas file we used; the disability-category field is empty for every school, so participation is the only state signal.

Ask each school about class size, staff training, therapy on campus and how accommodations are documented.

What can FES-UA pay for beyond tuition?

Licensed therapies such as speech, occupational therapy and ABA, credentialed tutoring, curriculum, testing and a computer once every two years.

That flexibility lets a family keep a child at a mainstream school and fund the outside support separately.

When is the deadline?

New 2026-27 FES-UA applications close November 15, 2026.

Award acceptance in EMA is due December 15.
